COLUMBUS, Ind. — The National Weather Service says strong wind gusts are possible this afternoon into Wednesday night.
A tight pressure gradient combined with mixing will support the potential for wind gusts up to 40 mph this afternoon into tonight, mainly across western and southwestern portions of central Indiana. Convective showers may also help to mix down stronger winds aloft during the afternoon and evening hours. Due to this, isolated higher gusts cannot be ruled out.
