RISING SUN — Trinity Lutheran softball bounced back from its first loss of the season, a 9-1 setback to Triton Central, by beating Batesville 11-2 in its second game of Saturday’s Rising Sun Invitational.
The Cougars were held to three hits against Triton Central before pounding out 16 hits against Batesville. Olivia Cain went 4 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, Diana Munoz went 2 for 3, Grace Lance went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and Zoey Dulaney went 2 for 5 with a double.
Cami Keaton went 2 for 3 with a double and threw a seven-hitter, allowing only one earned run and striking out eight for Trinity (6-1).
