NASHVILLE — Hauser won the No. 1 doubles match in its season opener Saturday, but Brown County took the other four to claim a 4-1 win.
Anna Stogsdill beat Bella Kilps 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Anna Tipton topped Lydia Jordan 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Julia Burt blanked Kayden Miller 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Eagles (2-0). Atheena Doughty and Ashlynn Mercer defeated Abby Manley and Kaycee Ridgley 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
The Jets’ point came at No. 1 doubles, where Addy Barriger and Mattie Foster beat Ava Kelly and Cady Kemp 6-2, 4-6, (10-8).
