Flood warning issued for Flatrock River near Columbus, East Fork White River at Seymour

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management says the National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a flood warning for the Flatrock River near Columbus, the East Fork White River at Seymour and the White River at Elliston and Edwardsport.

Additional rain tonight and Thursday will result in minor flooding along parts of the White River, East Fork White River and Flatrock River. Persons with interests along area rivers should closely monitor forecasts for updates.

At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, the Flatrock stage was 7.8 feet. The river is expected to reach a crest of 12.6 feet early Friday afternoon and fall below flood stage at 11 feet Saturday afternoon.
