Jennings deputies arrest suspect on multiple charges after report of domestic disturbance involving a gun

JENNINGS COUNTY — Jennings County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect after a domestic disturbance was reported at 9:48 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of County Road 225W involving the discharge of a firearm.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a male subject later identified as Daniel J. Hollin, deputies said. Hollin was in the middle of the roadway throwing rocks at the deputies’ patrol vehicles. Numerous verbal commands were given indicating a police K9 would be released if he did not comply.
Hollin refused and Sgt. John Amis deployed his K9 Partner Dino to apprehend the suspect. K9 Dino was able to assist in the apprehension and gain compliance, where Hollin was then placed under arrest.
Hollin was then transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries and medical clearance.
Following medical clearance, the subject was released into the custody of the Jennings County Jail staff. Daniel now faces multiple preliminary charges, including:
Level 6 felony criminal recklessness with a firearm
Level 6 felony intimidation
Level 5 felony intimidation of a law enforcement officer
A-Misdemeanor resisting a law enforcement officer
C-Misdemeanor public intoxication
Hollin is being held on a $1,055 bond in the Jennings County Jail.
