Olympians fall at 2A No. 9 Providence

CLARKSVILLE — Class 2A No. 9 Providence broke open a close game with five runs in the fourth inning Thursday and went on to post a 9-0 baseball victory against Columbus East.

The Olympians (2-7) matched the Pioneers with eight hits. Chase Niese went 2 for 4 with a double, and starting pitcher Blake Borkhardt went 2 for 4.
