VEVAY — South Decatur scored five times in the second inning Saturday and went on to post a 7-2 baseball victory at Switzerland County.
Devin Pate went 3 for 5 with a double and two RBIs to lead an eight-hit attack for the Cougars (2-2). Grady Scudder went 2 for 4, and Corey Nugent had two RBIs.
Pate, Nugent and JP Scudder combined on a seven-hitter with 11 strikeouts.
