COLUMBUS
Robert Wayne Reeves, Jr., 64, of Columbus, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Robert was born on November 2, 1959, in Columbus, IN to Robert W. Reeves Sr. and Alice Critney Reeves.
Robert was proud that he was the last owner of the family business, Wayne’s Auto Electric. His greatest wish was for everyone to just get along. He was a protector of his family and will always be a well-known person in our community. He was well liked and loved. He would tell his family to always do their best and continue to be family. Robert was an avid Indiana University Basketball Fan and enjoyed bowling and racing. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Isbell officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughters, Kristy (Lonny) Burton of Columbus, IN, Sara Beth Pickett Hibbs of No. Vernon, IN, Bobbie Sue (Scott) Pulliam of Madison, IN; sisters, Terrie L. (Ernie) Reed of Nashville, IN, Shelia A. (Tim) Woods of Batesville, IN, Mary A. Huston of Columbus, IN, Sarah M. (Dale) Lucas of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Baylen Burton, Haley Burton, Dakota Burton, Zoey Pickett, Dyllon Clement, Keegan Clement, Conor Pickett and 6 great- grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Reeves; son-in-law, Shane Hibbs; brother, Donald L. Reeves; brother-in-law, Jim Huston and his grandparents.
