Thrive Alliance will hold an information session for those interested in the Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults (VASIA) program on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Library of the Thrive Alliance office, located at the Doug Otto United Way Center, 1531 13th St. in Columbus.
Volunteer Advocates have life or work experience with older or disabled adults, no criminal history or social services history of violence, the ability to commit the required time, the ability to make sound decisions, and must be at least 21 years old.
Applicants must complete an application and screening process, as well as required training.
