The deadline to register for Saturday’s free First Time Homebuyer Workshop is Wednesday. A free lunch will be provided for all attendees. Sponsored by Apprisen, in partnership with Union Savings Bank, Southern Indiana Housing and Community Development Corporation, and the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Homebuyer Program, the workshop will be Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at YES Cinema, 328 Jackson St.
Workshop topics include:
• Preparing for homeownership
• Working with a real estate agent
• Understanding budgets and credit history
• Finding and working with a lender
• Home inspections and home maintenance
• Preventing loan default
Each attendee will receive a HUD homebuyer certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.
