NASHVILLE — Brown County won all three singles matches in straight sets Wednesday in claiming a 4-1 Western Indiana Conference girls tennis win against Edgewood.
Anna Stogsdill beat Macy Vaughn 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Anna Tipton topped Ellie Jackson 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and Julia Burt downed Deep Patel 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles for the Eagles (8-3, 2-0). Ava Kelly and Cady Kemp defeated Sophia Kapperman and Marley Jackson 6-4, 6-7 (5), (10-8) at No. 1 doubles.
Brown County’s Atheena Doughty and Ashlynn Mercer fell to Maris Holmes and Wren Millick 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.
