EDINBURGH
‘Susie’ Darlene S. Burton, 70 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away April 15, 2024 at Franciscan Health of Indianapolis. She was born December 22, 1953 in Morgantown, Indiana. She was the daughter of Everett D. and Frieda I. (Schrougham) Derringer. She married Eddie Dale Burton and he survives. She is also survived by her children, Scott (Rhoda) Hyatt of Columbus, Indiana, Tonya (Shannon) Richardson of Edinburgh, Indiana, Lisa (Mike) Snyder of Flat Rock, Indiana, Eddie (Kim) Burton of Florida, and Shane (Shana) Burton of Memphis, Indiana, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, Mickey (Patsy) Derringer of Nineveh, Indiana, and sisters, Vickie (Lonnie) Roach of Nineveh, Indiana, Debbie (Dennis) Cyrus of Morgantown, Indiana, and Melody (Jeff) Leech of Columbus, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jimmy Derringer.
Susie retired in 2022 from Connectronics. She enjoyed going to and having yard sales, her dogs, watching basketball, scrapping, and gardening.
A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Stacey Tucker and Reverend Randy Denton at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Calling will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the church and from 11:00 AM until time of service Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
