Eagles split with Raiders

NASHVILLE — Brown County split a softball doubleheader with South Ripley on Saturday, winning 9-0 and falling 13-4.

Chloe Poling and Ava Sanders combined on a three-hit shutout in the opener. Ava Stogsdill went 3 for 3, Poling went 3 for 4 with a double, Ally Hash went 2 for 4 with a double and Sanders had two RBIs.

In the second game, Aubree Denton had two RBIs for the Eagles (3-5). Sanders and Poling combined on an eight-hitter with 12 strikeouts.
