All of Columbus North’s and some of Columbus East’s varsity sporting events scheduled for today (Tuesday) have been postponed because of expected rain this evening.
East’s home baseball game against Bedford North Lawrence has been postponed to Wednesday, and the Olympians’ home golf match against Brownstown Central has been moved to Thursday. The boys track invitational at Seymour has been postponed, with no reschedule date yet. East’s girls tennis match with Franklin and softball game at Jennings County are still on, although the tennis has been moved up to a 4:30 p.m. start.
North’s baseball game at Southport has been postponed to May 6. Makeup dates have not yet been set for the Bull Dogs’ softball game at BNL, track meet at East Central, girls tennis match vs. North Oldham (Kentucky) and Unified track meet at Center Grove.
Meanwhile, IU Columbus has scheduled its home softball doubleheader that previously was rained out against Midway (Kentucky) for Wednesday at Ceraland. Also, the IUC baseball team will play its first-round River States Conference Tournament series Friday and Saturday at West Virginia Tech.
