Bartholomew County

Reading with Friends — 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This book group is designed for readers and non-readers. Participants can enjoy stories, and be guided through discussion and activities related to the reading.

Preschool Art Studio — 11 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 1-5 will have an open studio to make art using toy cars as our “vehicles” for paint. Please dress to get messy.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 1444 — 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St., Columbus. Weigh-in at 11:30 a.m., meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Must be a member of Mill Race Center. Call Karen Burbrink at 812-371-9616.

Teen Watch-It Wednesday — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Celebrate National Poetry Month with this series of films about poets and writers. April 24’s movie is “Freedom Writers.”

Introducing BCPL Beyond — 4 to 6 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Library services extend far beyond the walls of the library. Hear about how we take our services to the community and explore the impact of these services.

Humans Rights Commission — 4:30 p.m., City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Family Exercise and Movement Storytime — 4:45 to 5:15 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 4-10 and their friends and family members are welcome to join in and have fun at this kid-friendly exercise and wellness program with guest Ruth Bayardo. During each session, participants will get up and moving, as well as learn about exercise and other wellness topics. Sessions may also include stories and other activities. Dress comfortably for movement.
