SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran jumped out to a 10-0 lead after three innings Thursday and went on to post a 12-2, five-inning softball win against New Washington.
Grace Lance threw a five-hitter and allowed only one earned run for the Cougars (9-4). She struck out nine.
Zoey Dulaney went 3 for 4 to lead a 15-hit attack for Trinity. DeAnna Rothert went 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs, Maddie Adams went 2 for 3 and Emerson Warren and Olivia Cain each went 2 for 4.
