WALDRON — South Deactur scored a run in the sixth to tie it and four in the top of the seventh Friday to pull out a 9-5 Mid-Hoosier Conference baseball win at Waldron.
Corey Nugent and JP Scudder combined on a five hitter with only one earned run allowed and 14 strikeouts for the Cougars (7-2, 3-0). Drake Scaggs went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs, Grady Scudder went 2 for 3 with a double and Nugent went 2 for 3.
