Eagles topple Miners

NASHVILLE — Brown County won all three singles matches in straight sets Tuesday in a 4-1 girls tennis win against Linton.

Anna Stogsdill beat Abigail Roneg 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Eagles (12-3). Anna Tipton topped Kallie Rice at No. 2 singles, and Julia Burt blanked Grace Bredeweg at No. 3 singles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Brown County’s Atheena Doughty and Ashlynn Mercer defeated Hanna Bredeweg and Aubrey Neal 6-2, 3-6, (10-6) at No. 2 doubles. Ava Kelley and Cady Kemp dropped the first set to Natalie Brinson and Corinna Brown 7-6 (2) at No. 1 doubles before the Eagles defaulted because of sickness.
