EDINBURGH — Edinburgh trailed 6-4 after four innings Wednesday before scoring two runs in the fifth to tie it and one in the seventh to walk off with a 7-6 Mid-Hoosier Conference baseball win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Avynn Whitaker went 3 for 3 with a double, and Jared Myers went 3 for 4 for the Lancers (10-5-1, 4-3). Gabe Bennett went 2 for 3 with a double, and Austin Brockman had two RBIs.
Myers pitched the final 6 2/3 innings to pick up the win in relief of Whitaker.
