BEDFORD — Columbus North put two runners on with two out in the seventh Wednesday, but couldn’t come up with the tying runs in a 4-2 softball loss at Bedford North Lawrence.
Four different players had a hit for the Bull Dogs (7-8). Avery Shehan and Bailee Scruggs each had a double.
Payton Morris returned after missing two weeks with a knee injury and allowed four runs and two hits over the first two innings. Scruggs allowed only two hits in four shutout innings of relief.
