Two teams are tied for the lead in the gross division after Saturday’s opening round of the Inaugural Battle For Bartholomew golf tournament.
The team of Heath Harrison and Drew Day and the team of Jon Hoover and Rafeal Cordaro each shot 7-under-par 65 at Otter Creek in the two-man best ball event. They will be in the final pairing at 1:50 p.m. today for the final around at Harrison Lake Country Club.
The team of Justin Smith and Kyle Crites and the team of Nick Waskom and Ian Coffey are tied for third at 6-under 66. The team of Michael VanDeventer and Jake Coffey and the team of Andrew Voss and Greg Bowder are tied for fifth at 5-under 67, and Coleman Glick and Bryce Turner are seventh at 4-under 68.
In the net division, Lance Hackman and Matt Hackman have a one-shot lead at 12-under. The teams of Alex Bays/Preston Shelton, Griffin Haddad/Steve Hulett, Scott Ousley/Michael Parsons and Jeff Jaggers/Joe Laker are at 11 -under, while Voss and Bowder are sixth at 9-under.
