Bartholomew County

Library Babies — 10 to 10:30, 10:35 to 11, and 11:05 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a baby-friendly introduction to storytime. Library Babies is geared toward children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. To register, call the children’s desk at 812-379-1288.

Preschool Dance Class — 10 to 10:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 2-5 are invited to dance with local dance teacher, Megan. Caregivers will stay in the room with their dancers. Registration is requested.

Human Rights Commission — 2 p.m., City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Teen Thursgame — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Every Thursday after school, play games including Dungeon Party, Unstable Unicorns, Wizard Kittens, Disney Sorcerer’s Arena, Here to Slay and more.

Teen Board Game — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Learn to play Villainous, an asynchronous strategy game featuring Disney and Star Wars villains.

Tween Game Time — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Stop by after school and join us for some laid-back fun as we play our way through our collection of board, card, and dice games. Game selection may vary.

Columbus Park Board — 4 p.m., City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Family Exercise and Movement Storytime — 4:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 4-10 and their friends and family are welcome to join in and have fun with guest Ruth Bayardo. Participants will get up and moving, as well as learn about exercise and other wellness topics. Sessions may also include stories and other activities. Dress comfortably for movement.

Clifty Creek Battle of the Bands — 5 to 7 p.m., Clifty Creek Elementary School, 4625 E. 50N, Columbus. Five classes will perform, one will win. Featuring Clifty Creek Rock Band with special guests Flat Earth Rock Band. Public welcome, admission is free. A rock festival with food trucks, face painting, photo booth, and other activities catered to the kids.

Citizens Advisory Committee — 5:30 p.m., WebEx and City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Mindful Meditation — 6 to 7 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Meditation helps us know ourselves and get clear about what is important in our life. Beginners and experienced meditators are warmly welcomed to join this beautiful experience with Lezlie.
