Chase Niese
BLOOMINGTON — Chase Niese came through with a two-run single in the top of the seventh Wednesday to lift Columbus East to a 9-7 baseball win at Bloomington North.
AJ Tindell went 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs for the Olympians (8-16). Jace Jones went 2 for 3, and Logan Warren went 2 for 4 with a double.
JD Rotert and Jackson Watkins combined on a six-hitter. Watkins allowed only one hit and no runs over the final three innings to pick up the win.
