BEDFORD — Jennings County won the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions, but Seymour took the other three spots to pull out a 3-2 win Saturday in the semifinals of the Bedford North Lawrence girls tennis sectional.
Tatum Brown beat Ava Sunbury 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles for the Panthers (7-9) and will advance in the individual singles tournament. Kaydence Lowman was leading Elise Hartung 7-5, 1-0 at No. 2 singles when Hartung retired.
Jennings’ Jocelyn Valdovinos fell to Claire Combs 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Sophia Lucas and Gabi Morin lost to Kelsea Hunsley and Addison Hunsley 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, and Maddy McIntosh and Ari Maldonado fell to Tori Fee and Emma Woodard 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
