2014

Columbus North boys golf claimed the Conference Indiana Tournament championship at Bloomington Country Club after finishing in a 309-309 deadlock with Bloomington South. Each team’s No. 5 player’s score was used to determine the winner, which was 82 for Columbus and 83 for Bloomington South.

1999

Veteran musicians Larry McWilliams and Tom Walsh brought their talent to Columbus for the Columbus Jazz Festival, sponsored by The Republic. McWilliams played the trumpet and Walsh played the saxophone.

1974

Max Bode was presented the Christian Attitude and Sportsmanship award and was named the boys softball Most Valuable Player during the annual Jonesville-White Creek Lutheran School athletic banquet. Other MVP awards went to Teresa Voss in girls basketball and softball, Joyce Manley in girls volleyball, and Bryan Kiel and Kevin Voss in boys basketball.
