MILAN — Haven Hartwell threw a three-hit shutout, and Hauser opened Milan Softball sectional play with a 12-0 win against Switzerland County.

Lexie Hamilton went 4 for 5 with a double and three RBIs to lead a 17-hit attack for the Jets (19-8). Maley Jordan went 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Lucie Asher went 3 for 4, Haylin Campbell went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Izzy Brunner went 2 for 3 with a triple and Paige McDaniel had two RBIs.
Hauser will play Milan in the semifinals at around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
