The following closings have been announced for Memorial Day.
- The Bartholomew County Courthouse and county office building will be closed.
- Columbus City Hall will be closed.
- City trash pickup, and all curbside collections, will be delayed by one day, with Friday’s collections on Saturday, June 1.
- The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed and will reopen on Tuesday, May 28, at 7 a.m. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- The Bartholomew County Solid Waste District offices, recycling center, including the commercial cardboard route and the Bartholomew County Landfill will be closed Monday and reopen on May 28 at 7:30 a.m. For more information, visit bcswmd.com.
- All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle (BMV) branches will be closed Saturday through Monday. Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Tuesday, May 28. - The Republic local offices and AIM Media Customer Service Call Center will be closed on Monday to allow employees to enjoy the holiday with their families.
