Michael Ray Steinbarger

EDINBURGH

Michael Ray Steinbarger, 69 of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away May 14th, 2024. He was born July 1, 1954 to Donald Steinbarger and Nelda (Hoeltke) Steinbarger Voltz. Michael grew up in the Columbus, Indiana area and attended Columbus High School and Purdue University Short Course. On July 31st 1982 he married Anngie (Burbrink) Steinbarger. They spent their life together on the farm in the Edinburgh area. They raised crops, cattle, and kids. He was very active in the community serving Shelby County Farm Bureau Board, Farm Bureau ACE ambassador, Shelby County Co-op Board, St. George Lutheran Church, Shelby County 4-H, Flat Rock Vol. Fire Department/Citizens Committee, Rush Shelby Farm Service Agency Committee, Shelby Soil and Water Board, Bartholomew Co. Rural Youth, and Southwestern Consolidated School Bus Driver.

He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife Anngie (Burbrink) Steinbarger, children Hayley Clark (Daniel) and Michelle Tobias (Matthew). He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Rory Clark, Reagan Clark, Abel Tobias, and Myra Tobias. He shared his life with his siblings David Steinbarger, Sue Ann Lorenz (Ben), Deb Binkley, and Mark Steinbarger (Debby).

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am, May 25th at St. George Lutheran Church Edinburgh, IN with Chaplin Michael Mercer and Pastor Jerry Castleman officiating. Those wishing to offer the family their condolences are welcome to call at the church at 10am prior to the service. The family has requested memorials to St. George Cemetery Association in lieu of flowers. Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home Inc. in Edinburgh, Indiana is overseeing the arrangements.
