BLOOMINGTON — Jennings County qualified for the June 1 Boys Track and Field State Finals in two events with their performances in Thursday’s Bloomington North Regional.
The team of Branden Braun, Loki Hifo, JoJo Hifo and Blaine Ison won the 4×100-meter relay in a school-record 43.12 seconds. Ison also advanced with a third-place finish in the 100 in a school-record 11.00.
The Panthers finished fifth in the overall team standings. Will Barnes took fifth in the 110 hurdles (15.62), Ison was fifth in the 200 (22.71), Jackson Earl placed sixth in the high jump (6 feet), Kraedyn Young finished sixth in the 1,600 (4:24.73) and Braun was seventh in the long jump (20-8 1/2).
