JENNINGS COUNTY — In partnership with Jennings County, the Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of County Road 190E over Otter Creek starting on or after Thursday for a bridge rehabilitation project in Jennings County.
The closure will take place approximately 0.6 miles south of County Road 25N just east of Vernon and is expected to remain in place until late October, weather permitting. Crews will begin to place signage in the area prior to the start of construction.
This project is part of a contract awarded to Dave O’Mara in February.
Also, in another road closing, the Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of County Road 800N over Sand Creek on Wednesday, for a bridge deck replacement project in Jennings County.The closure is located just east of State Road 3 and is expected to remain closed until late November, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows Base Road to State Road 550N to County Road 150E to County Road 200E.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
