Former Columbus Parks and Recreation Director Ben Wagner was named the executive director of the kidscommons children’s museum. Wagner also previously held leadership roles at Foundation For Youth and the Columbus Youth Camp.

1999

The Columbus city tennis tournament kicked off with some of the area’s best junior players in action, and several of the junior players got the chance to compete against their classmates and friends. Kevin Bozell, an East singles player in the 1998 season, paired off against fellow Olympian Rodrigio Magalhaes, an East soccer player, in the boys-18 singles bracket.

1974

Hope was introduced to California radio listeners around 5 a.m. when most of the town was sleeping. Radio station KABC in Los Angeles picked a town in the United States at random to interview, but they could only reach county Deputies Mark Jost and Mike Moore, who talked to the hosts for about 30 minutes.
