The Dark Syde, a classic rock band dating back to the early 1970s in Columbus, reunited for a three-hour concert at an outdoor block party at Bistro 310. The band members, Barry Johnson, Steve Lindeman and Dan Dritt, played at fraternity and sorority parties at Indiana University and elsewhere from 1969 to 1972.

1999

Columbus Youth Camp was thriving once again after director David Westenberger saved it from near-extinction. Improvements included new trails, a new challenge course, a new maintenance facility, renovation of six log cabins and construction of a new bathhouse and beach house.

1974

Dr. James A. Joseph, vice president of corporate action for Cummins Engine Co., was elected to the board of the Opportunity Funding Corporation of Washington, D.C.
