INDIANAPOLIS
Robert Dean Grinstead, 76, formerly of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:22 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at University Heights Health and Living Community.
Robert was born September 27, 1947, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the son of Edward Harold and Linda Rose Sapp Grinstead.
Mr. Grinstead worked as funeral director in Franklin, Indiana in his earlier years and was also an ordained minister. He also worked part-time for FedEx. Robert loved wolves. He was a member of the Living Room Church in Columbus. He loved to play bass guitar and dabbling in diamond art.
Survivors include his daughters, Tyle Grinstead of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Dina Simion of Florida, Kimberly (Christopher) Eason of Fairland, Indiana; grandchildren, Cody (Carisma) Eason, Kadee Eason, Charles Eason, all of Fairland, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Sophia Eason and Theo Eason.
Visitation only for Robert will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place after the visitation.
Inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
