Columbus Star Quilters Meeting — 9:30 a.m. to noon, First Baptist Church, 3300 Fairlawn Drive, Columbus. Each gathering consists of a short business meeting, followed by a quilting lesson/program, along with Show and Tell of finished projects. Members participate in various service projects. Get a head start on your holiday gifts! Enjoy over 30 hand-made artisan booths located at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds in the Community Building. Parking and admission are free.

First Thursdays Downtown: Wine Walk — 4 to 8 p.m., Downtown Columbus, 500 Washington St., Columbus. Downtown merchants will have extended shopping hours and a seasonal treat for shoppers.
Transformers — 6 to 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth St., Columbus. This group welcomes children and families who are grieving a loss. Families will receive resources/topics the Monday prior to the Thursday meeting.
