Indiana University law school professor Fran Quigley spoke on “How Human Rights Can Build Haiti, and How We Can Help” in the Laws Room at First Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Quigley also directed IU’s Health and Human Rights Clinic.

1999

W.D. Richards Elementary School Principal Ercell Cody banned trading Pokémon cards at school, after the game’s skyrocketing popularity led to disruptions during class.

1974

Mrs. Edwin Crouch of Columbus was named the 1974 recipient of the Metropolitan Exchange Club’s “The Book of Golden Deeds” award. Crouch received the award for her service to the community as the chairman of the Red Cross volunteers.
