SHELBYVILLE — South Decatur opened its girls basketball season Saturday with a 66-16 Mid-Hoosier Conference rout at Southwestern (Shelby).
The Cougars led 40-9 at halftime.
Makayla Somers led South Decatur with 14 points. Riley Benge scored 12 points, while Raegan Benge had nine and Lilly Murray and Dalilah Martin added eight.
