NORTH VERNON — Jennings County opened its girls basketball season Wednesday with a 68-53 win against Scottsburg.
The Panthers trailed 19-12 after one quarter and 28-27 at halftime before taking a 54-38 lead after three quarters.
Mollie Ernstes led Jennings with 25 points. Etta Young scored 17, Riley Byford had 11 and Maddie McIntosh added seven.
