Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences Workshop — 9 to 11:30 a.m., Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave., Columbus. Join the Council for Youth Development Bartholomew County in the Summerville Room at the Columbus Learning Center. This free workshop, led by an ACEs Master Trainer, is designed to introduce caring adults in the community to the ACE study findings and implications and supply ideas for how to help reduce the harmful effects of ACEs.

Reading with Friends — 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This book group is designed for readers and non-readers. Participants can enjoy stories and be guided through discussion and activities related to the reading.

Third Annual Tots’ Turkey Trot — 11:30 a.m. to noon, Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 1 to 5 and their caregivers can drop in anytime between 11:30 a.m. and noon to play at the library during this unstructured social time.
