The BISSELL Pet Foundation will host its Holiday Hope National Empty the Shelters event at more than 400 shelters nationwide, including the Bartholomew County Humane Society. The event will take place from Dec. 1 through 17 and adoption fees for dogs and cats will be $50.
Individuals who wish to adopt an animal should fill out an application at bartholomewhumane.org and make an appointment by emailing info@bartholomewhumane.org or calling 812-372-6063.
Pets adopted from the shelter are fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
Empty the Shelters is the nation’s largest funded adoption event, which has helped more than 226,000 pets find homes in the United States and Canada since 2016.
