Beginning Again — 2 to 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m., Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St., Columbus. Beginning Again Group is for anyone who has lost a family member. Teen DIY: Cat Toys — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Learn how to make a simple felt catnip toy for your cat or make toys for all the cats living in the local shelter. Earn volunteer hours for making toys to donate. Register on the library website.

Pick up a copy of “The Yellow Birds” by Kevin Powers at the adult circulation desk and join Shelly and the All Book’d Book Club to discuss the story of two soldiers dropped on the Iraq battlefield.
