The Columbus North girls basketball team beat visiting Rushville 65-42, with senior Ali Patberg scoring 17 points. North senior Sheyanne Street was also a high scorer, with 12 points.

More than 300 area residents had Thanksgiving meals at First Christian Church and the Salvation Army Corps Community Center. Along with the church and Salvation Army, the meals were sponsored by Behavioral Healthcare, Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center and Meridian Kiwanis Club.

First Christian Church, Eastside Baptist Church and East Columbus Christian Church held “union” services that celebrated the meaning of Thanksgiving, regardless of denomination or non-denomination.
