Full Throttle Speedskaters compete in Milwaukee

Full Throttle Speed Skating competed at the Great Lakes Short Track Championships at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee last weekend.

Edward Meir competed in the 85m, 255m and 340m and finished first for boys in his section.

Gabe Marimoto Taqueushi competed in the 333m, 555m and 777m and finished fourth for boys in his section.

Quin Fortner competed at 333m, 500m and 777m, finishing first for boys in his section.

This was Rithwik Veeravalli’s first meet this season, and he competed at 333m, 500m and 777m, finishing fourth for boys in his section.

Luis Marimoto Taqueushi and Wyatt Kiefer both competed for the first time in the Heartland Racing Series after qualifying for the series at the Buffalo Short Track Championship earlier this season. They competed at 500m, 1000m and and 1500m, finishing 13th and 14th, respectively in this higher level of competition. Kiefer’s racing times also qualified him for US Short Track Age Group National Championship this spring, joining Taqueushi, who qualified in Buffalo.

Maria Marimoto Taqueushi competed in 500m, 777m and 1000m and finished first for girls in her section. She also qualified for the Heartland Racing Series with her times.
