Snow in the forecast for southern Indiana on Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The National Weather Service forecast includes the possibility of light accumulating snow on Saturday afternoon overnight into Sunday.

Forecasters say light to moderate snow will overspread central Indiana during the midday and afternoon hours Saturday. Snow will continue Saturday night…with heaviest intensity expected in evening hours near the U.S. 50 corridor. Light snow will taper off from west to east late Saturday night. Total accumulation is expected to range from less than an inch along and north of the Interstate 74 corridor., to mainly 1-2 inches across southwestern and southern counties. Isolated accumulations near 3 inches are possible southwest of Bloomington.
