IUPUC seniors Garrhet Allen, Sloan Ball, Jeremy Bolduc and John Martin created a machine for Faurecia that calibrated strain gauges used to measure stress on joints. The project was part of the bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degree program.
1999
City employees began stringing more than 2,000 lights on Columbus City Hall’s Christmas tree. The Colorado Spruce was 22 feet tall and 18 feet in diameter.
1974
The Columbus Rotary Club celebrated its 50 year anniversary at the Imperial House Motel with the club’s 136 members. Frederick M. Sutter, one of the 21 charter members, traveled from his retirement home in Florida to attend the celebration.
