The Columbus Elks Lodge 521 recently completed several projects to raise money for organizations in the community.
In September, the lodge held a benefit fish fry raising $5,114 which was split evenly between Our Hospice of South Central Indiana and Turning Point.
The Elks also had a golf scramble which raised $4,300 for the lodge’s annual Elks Children’s Christmas Fund.
Most recently, the local lodge had a Halloween party that raised $4,280 for local Veterans Day packages which they distributed to more than 200 veterans in Bartholomew and Brown counties.
