The Franklin College Art Department hosted the annual Franklin College Student Art Exhibition and Awards Reception on Dec. 4 in the Elba L. & Gene Portteus Branigin Atrium of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.
The event showcased the work of Franklin College students completed during the fall semester. Awards were presented and select pieces of artwork were available for purchase.
Students who received awards include:
Best of Show: Leo Cook, of Zionsville, received the overall award for Best of Show.
Purchase Award: Lyn Johnson, of Indianapolis, received the Purchase Award. This award is sponsored by the Franklin College Academic Affairs Office. The artwork is chosen by the art department faculty and is permanently displayed in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.
3D Foundations
Lyn Johnson, of Indianapolis, received an Award of Excellence.
Beth Gentry, of Indianapolis, received an Award of Merit.
Emma Carpenter, of Milan, and Mattie Foster, of Hope, each received an Honorable Mention.
