Our Name Is Earl won a pair of games Sunday to move into a tie with Hansons for the Columbus Broomball League lead.
Earl beat Jennings County BC by forfeit, then edged Hansons 2-1. Brothers Noah and Gabe Marsh scored for Earl, while Matt Psota had the goal for Hansons. Both teams are 3-1.
Monsters of Rock (2-1) topped CCA (0-3-1) 1-0. Thomas Andre scored for Monsters.
BASKETBALL
Panthers fall twice
The Jennings County eighth-grade boys dropped a pair of games, falling to St. John Sauers 50-29 on Tuesday and Scottsburg 48-41 on Thursday.
Brycen Sigler led the Panthers (4-7)with 15 points in each game. Owen Dailey scored 10 against Sauders and 11 against Scottsburg, while Kolin Boyd added nine against Scottsburg.
