Columbus North High School graduates Jim Brown and Craig Sturgis created a free app and website focused on helping individuals care for their homes, with the help of their business partner, Joe Wanninger. Called “Haven,” the app provided predictive technology and personally vetted home service experts.

Seventy-one area children ages 4 to 17 went shopping with more than 35 officers from the Columbus Police Department, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, Indiana Conservation Department and Hope Police Department during the annual Shop with a Cop event.

Members of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union hosted a Christmas party for residents of the Bartholomew County Home for the Aged. Hauser High School students Scotty and Carol Marie Moore, and Shelly and Sabrina Stover sang Christmas songs, and the Rev. John Hadler read devotional scripture.
