Greiwe, IWU fall in NAIA title game

Koryn Greiwe

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Koryn Greiwe and Indiana Wesleyan came up one win short of an NAIA women’s basketball national title after an 82-73 loss to Dordt (Iowa) in Tuesday night’s title game.

The Wildcats, who trailed by as many as 22 points early in the fourth quarter, cut the lead to five with just under a minute remaining, but Dordt held on to win its second consecutive NAIA championship.

Just as she did in Monday’s semifinal win against Briar Cliff (Iowa), Greiwe hit two first-half 3-pointers. The redshirt sophomore from Columbus East went 2 of 3 from 3-point range Tuesday and finished with six points in five minutes of action.

Indiana Wesleyan finishes its season 34-3.
