Columbus East split its season-opening track meet with Seymour Tuesday. The Olympians won the girls meet 80-48, and the Owls took the boys meet 82-50.
Carsyn Schlehuser won the high jump (4 feet, 8 inches) and 100 meters (13.45 seconds), Sophie Glick took the long jump (13-11) and 400 (1:05.35) and Kai Scott captured the 100 hurdles (17.62) and 300 hurdles (52.32) to lead the East girls. Grace McMahan won the discus (108-4), and the Olympians took the 4×100 (52.45) and 4×400 (4:34.53) relays.
Jared Brooks won the shot put (42-5 1/2) and discus (144-3), and Keaton Lawson took the high jump (6-0) and long jump (20-0) to lead the boys. Isaac Fields captured the 110 hurdles (18.99), and Trace Mulchay won the 100 (11.51).
